The minority Liberal government is cancelling close to 150-million dollars in funding for Toronto.
Mayor Rob Ford’s brother and close advisor,City Councillor, Doug Ford says Premier, Kathleen Wynne is sending mixed messages.
But Finance Minister, Charles Sousa says the new funding arrangement comes with a condition that offsets the cutback.
The cuts will be phased-in over three years and leave the city 50-million dollars short in its 2014 budget, money that must now be made up through program reductions or tax increases.
Mayor Rob Ford has asked for a meeting with Sousa as soon as soon as possible.
