Another rare work of art  has been attacked  in the U-K.

A fathers-rights group says one of its members has damaged  a John Constable painting in Britain’s National Gallery.

A 57-year-old man was arrested after Constable’s rural scene “The Hay Wain” – one of Britain’s most famous artworks, was attacked. Experts removed the painting for treatment and say no lasting damage had been done.

The group Fathers 4 Justice said the vandal was Paul Manning, a “desperate dad” who had attached a picture of his son to  the painting.

This comes just after another man appeared in court – charged with spraying paint on a portrait of the Queen  in Westminster Abbey earlier this month

Tim Haries, also affiliated with Fathers 4 Justice is out on bail.
