Zoomers remember when robots where the thing of comic books – or battery-powered toys.
But today Honda’s walking and talking interactive robot is catching a lot of attention as it runs into glitches in its new role as a museum guide in Tokyo.
The bubble-headed Asimo machine has problems telling the difference between people raising their hands to ask questions and people holding up their smartphones to take photos.
Developers say it has a long way to go before it can be considered people person.
