We’re going to be holding -the – line on vacation spending this summer.

A  new poll done for CIBC  finds  56 per cent of Canadians plan to take a summer vacation – which is close to last year’s finding – but travellers  plan to spend an average of $16 hundred dollars and that’s down from an average of $17 hundred and 28 dollars in last year’s poll.

And a  hefty  73 per cent are planning to vacation here at home.

The bank says 25 per cent plan to head south of the border and  will spend an average of $21 hundred dollars on their trips.

Folks in  Manitoba and Saskatchewan plan to spend the most on vacations this summer – while people in  Atlantic Canadians plan to spend the least.
