Political-watchers in Ottawa are expecting a cabinet shuffle that could signal a major shakeup of the Harper government.
They say it could be the biggest shuffle in the government’s seven-year history. Sources say even the normally-sacrosanct ministries of Defence and Finance may not be immune.
The shuffle comes as a new poll suggests Canadians don’t like the way the Prime Minister has handled the Mike Duffy senate scandal. Ipsos Reid found 70 per cent feel it’s time for a new government. But Darryl Bricker of Ipsos-Reid says most people realize the repayment scandal happened without the Prime Minister’s knowledge and the worst could be over.
