Ed Burkhardt of Chicago-based Rail World Incorporated has visited Lac Megantic, Quebec.
His company owns the run-away train that careened into the small community east of Montreal and exploded killing at least 15 people.
Burkhdardt made a visit to the devastated town today under a rain of insults and a police escort.
He admitted that the handbrakes on the train might not have been applied properly.
About 60 people are now considered missing in Lac-Megantic’s train derailment.
That number includes the 15 dead because not all of the bodies have been identified.
