Despite him being hospitalized, there are plans in the works to celebrate Nelson Mandela’s 95th birthday next week.

The Nelson Mandela Foundation is hoping that volunteers around the world donate 67 minutes of their time when South Africa’s former president turns 95 on July 18th.

Mandela remains in critical but stable condition for a recurring lung infection. He was hospitalized in Pretoria on June 8th.

Released from prison in 1990, Mandela later became South Africa’s first black president.
