Relief from today’s hot, humid weather isn’t expected until Friday.

Humidex advisories have been issued for much of the southern and central Ontario.

It could feel as hot 40 celsius or even more.

All of the southern portion of Ontario, except for Haliburton, Algonquin, Burk’s Falls and Parry Sound are included in the heat advisory.

The UV sunburn index is also very high at 10.

Medical Officer of Health for the City of Toronto, Dr. David McKeown is advising people to drink plenty of water and not to do heavy manual labour in this high heat and humidity.

He’s issued a heat alert for the city of Toronto.
