The Royal Winnipeg Ballet’s hit  production of  “Moulin Rouge-The Ballet” is being captured on film and will be seen in movie theatres across Canada.

The Royal Winnipeg Ballet has presented the work internationally and across North America.

Choreographer and former RWB dancer Jorden Morris created the piece  for the Manitoba company’s 70th anniversary in 2009. The ballet received a special licence from the original Moulin Rouge in Paris to use its name.

Set against the  famed French cabaret in Paris during the 1890s, “Moulin Rouge-The Ballet”  celebrates the different varieties of dance performed in Paris at the time.

The high definition  film version of the work  is expected to premiere in Canada at Cineplex movie theatres and also screen internationally in early 2014.
