London’s Globe theatre is continuing to live by Shakespeare’s famous words, “All the world’s a stage.”

Last year, the British landmark staged the Globe to Globe festival, bringing theatre companies from around the world to London to perform Shakespeare in 37 languages.

This year, instead of bringing the world to London, the Globe has announced it’s going to take Shakespeare to the world.

It will tour a production of Hamlet to every country around the globe.

Globe artistic director Dominic Dromgoole says, “by train, coach, plane, and boat, we aim to take this wonderful, iconic, multifarious play to as many fresh ears as we possibly can.”

A cast of eight will hit the road to perform Hamlet in 205 countries beginning next April. The two-year tour will conclude on April 23rd, 2016, the 400th anniversary of Shakespeare’s death.
