No problem after all – for Woody Allen.

His film “Midnight in Paris” was accused of  illegally lifting a line from a book by William Faulkner – but a  judge in Mississippi has dismissed the lawsuit brought by “Faulkner Literary Rights LLC.”

The copywright lawsuit was filed last October  against Sony Pictures Classics.

It said a  character in the  movie stole  a line from Faulkner’s book, “Requiem for a Nun.”

The line is : “The past is never dead. It’s not even past.”

In the movie, actor Owen Wilson, says: “The past is not dead. Actually, it’s not even past. You know who said that? Faulkner. And he was right.”

U.S. District Judge Michael Mills dismissed the lawsuit today.
