This Rolling Stone gathers no moss.
Mick Jagger is celebrates his 70th birthday.
Chris Andersen, who wrote a Jagger biography last year, says in his younger years, the Rolling Stones’ singer never imagined he’d still be performing in front of packed arenas this late in life.
”When he turned 30, Mick said ”I’d rather die than be 45 and still singing ‘Satisfaction’ ”, and here he is still going strong, still relevant to even young listeners,” Andersen said.
”I think one of the things fascinating about Mick is that he doesn’t look back. He’s constantly moving forward … I think he’s thinks he’ll die creatively or physically, if he doesn’t keep looking ahead”.
