The actor best known as Brandon Walsh on Beverly Hills 90210, is in Oakville, helping Tim Hortons whittle down a list of doughnut flavours dreamed up by the Canadian public. Vancouver-born Jason Priestly is helping “Timmies” choose an eight-pastry short list from one month’s worth of entries from their “Duelling Donuts” contest. Earlier this year, in an episode of “How I Met Your Mother”, Priestly claimed he had invented “The Priestley,” a strawberry-vanilla doughnut with a chocolate Timbit nestled inside. Not ones to miss a promotional moment, Tims then made a mock batch of the fictional pastry…. which led to the Dueling Donuts competition. The grand prize here is 10 thousand dollars…..which buys a lot of double-doubles.
