The Hnatyshyn Foundation and TD Bank Group have announced the creation of a new award which will support an emerging curator who has the determination and talent to contribute to the legacy of art in Canada. The winner of the “Emerging Curator of Contemporary Canadian Art” will be nominated by established Canadian curators or respected educators in curatorial studies. Candidates will be adjudicated based on several criteria including age, citizenship, residency and body of work. The award recipients will be selected by a jury of arts professionals from across Canada. Details on how and when to apply for the award will be available at www.rjhf.com or www.td.com/corporate-responsibility.
The Hnatyshyn Foundation is a private charity established by the late Right Honourable Ray Hnatyshyn, Canada’s twenty-fourth Governor General, to assist emerging and established artists in all disciplines.
