Not long after saying it was exploring strategic alternatives including a possible sale, it appears BlackBerry could be preparing for auction soon.
The Wall Street Journal, citing unnamed sources, claims the process could be completed as early as November.
Apparently, BlackBerry already has its shortlist of potential bidders.
This comes after Microsoft announced plans to buy Nokia’s handset division for over $7-billion.
Chinese technology company Huawei seems uninterested after board member Chen Lifang said in London the company’s not shopping around for acquisition targets.
