President Obama met privately with Russian President Putin to discuss Syria at the G20 Summit.
Putin says they spoke for 20 to 30 minutes and while the two leaders disagreed, Obama and Putin called the meeting constructive.
Washington insists that the Syrian government is responsible for chemical weapons attacks against civilians and is pushing for the U-S to respond with a military strike.
But Putin says there’s no firm evidence of that and opposes any action outside the U-N.
