Britain will join France and the United States in advancing a U.N. Security Council resolution to put Syria’s chemical weapons under international control.
British Prime Minister David Cameron told a parliamentary committee today that the proposal should be taken very seriously because it would accomplish the goal of getting rid of chemical weapons inside Syria.
And Cameron also warns that the proposal cannot be used as a delaying tactic or as a scheme to buy more time for the Syrian regime.
The new proposal was first made by Russia .
