This goes a long way to explain the ferocity of the fire that resulted from the Lac Megantic derailment this summer.

Transportation Safety Board investigator Don Ross says the oil carried by the train was mislabelled as less volatile than it actually was.

The TSB wants regulators in both Canada and the U-S to review the processes for companies transporting dangerous goods to ensure that the products are properly labelled.

The derailment and subsequent explosion killed  47 people and destroyed the centre of the small Quebec community east of Montreal.
