A great honour for Canada’s Louise Dennys – from The International Visitors Programme (IV) – in association with the International Festival Of Authors.
Dennys has won the second annual Ivy Award – presented to someone who has made a substantial contribution to Canadian publishing.
Dennys is Executive Vice President of Random House of Canada and Executive Publisher of Knopf Random Canada Publishing Group.
Among her many achievments, she pioneered the practice of publishing separate Canadian editions for noteworthy international writers and bringing those authors here to promote their books.
Dennys will be presented with her award onstage by literary giant Salman Rushdie at the International Festival of Authors on Monday, October 28th.
This year’s IV Programme runs from October 21 to 25 as part of the International Festival of Authors. The festival runs at Harbourfront from October 24th until November 3rd.
