Here’s your chance to explore Toronto’s architectural history -through some of the city’s most innovative buildings.
The Market Gallery is presenting “Smart Address,” an exhibition highlighting Toronto architecture of the 1920s and ’30s.
Many of these buildings are still standing today and a number of them have been retrofitted onto new structures – so Torontonians can still admire their presence.
The exhibit’s black-and-white photographs show that Toronto was undergoing phenomenal change in the decades between the First and Second World Wars and the architecture of that time reflects a culture of change.
Market Gallery exhibitions are free and are located on the second floor of the South St. Lawrence Market at 95 Front Street east .
The “Smart Address” exhibit runs from October 26th to January 25th.
