It’s been a tourist attraction here in Toronto since it was built a century ago by Sir Henry Pellatt.

Now there are plans to revamp the aging Casa Loma Edwardian mansion.

Mayor, Rob Ford’s executive is set to debate plans that include a fine dining restaurant and banquet hall for the historic 98-room manor.

Councillor Joe Mihevc says under the proposed agreement the main building will continue to be open to the public as an historic site.

If approved by the Mayor’ s executive committee next week – the agreement will go to council for its November meeting.
