People who work in Health care here in Ontario are being encouraged to get immunized against the flu as the province launches its Let’s Get Fluless campaign.
Ontario’s chief medical officer of health, Dr. Arlene King says getting the flu shot not only protects people working in health care but those they are caring for.
Doctor King says about half of Ontario’s hospital staff and three-quarters of people in the long-term care sector currently get the flu shot but she’d like to see closer to 90 per cent of them immunized.
