More Canadian soldiers are heading to the typhoon-ravaged Philippines.
They left Canadian Forces Base Trenton last night to join members of the Disaster Assistance Response Team – or DART – already on the ground.
They’re taking a water purification system with them.
There’ll be about 200 DART members providing aid to victims.
Meanwhile, three Canadian military helicopters and crew are being deployed there.
Two of the three CH-146 Griffons are set to leave tomorrow from CFB Trenton aboard a military transport plane.
The choppers will enable DART members to reach and help those in need.
