The Jewish National Fund’s annual Negev dinner will acknowledge Stephen Harper’s friendship and support of Israel.
The aim’s to raise funds to build a bird sanctuary in Israel to be named after the prime minister.
Apparently, Harper will announce this evening he intends to make his first trip to Israel.
While the atmosphere inside the Metro Toronto Convention Centre will be friendly, there could be some dissenting voices outside.
A group calling itself Independent Jewish Voices Canada says it and others plan to protest Harper’s political agenda and environmental policies.
