The Queen and Prince Philip have sent condolences to the families of people who died in the seniors’ residence fire in Quebec. In her message the Queen writes that she and Philip were saddened to learn of the fire and that their thoughts and prayers are also with all those who were injured in Wednesday night’s blaze. At least 30 people are still believed missing, and five people are confirmed dead. Investigators are sifting through ic-caked rubble to try to locate more victims of the fire that destroyed the residence in the small community in Quebec. Ontario Health Minister Deb Matthew says the deadly fire in Quebec has everyone concerned and the government has to take a look at whether there’s something more the province should be doing.
