It’s the tightest three way Oscar race in years.
The 66th Directors Guild of America Awards in LA could give ”Gravity,” ”American Hustle” or ”12 Years a Slave” the edge heading into the home stretch.
But ”Captain Phillips” or ”The Wolf of Wall Street” should not be ruled out.
The DGA hands out hardware for best director in TV and the movies tonight in what’s usually a final calling for the film that takes home the same statues at the Oscars.
The Academy Awards show goes March 2.
