Mississauga’s outgoing Mayor Hazel McCallion was celebrated last night at a dinner at the Mississauga Living Arts Centre. Premier Kathleen Wynne was in attendance, along with other dignitaries. Even though she’s leaving office later this year, the 93 year old mayor is not about to slow down. Hazel told CP24, “now I’m going to get involved in more community activities in organizations. We have many many organizations in this city that I’m sure would appreciate my involvement. I’m not giving up my great devotion to the city of Mississauga.”
Hazel McCallion has been mayor of Mississauga since 1978.
