During a stop at an auto parts plant in Niagara Falls, NDP Leader Andrea Horwath says her party is the only one that can be trusted to create jobs.

She has unveiled a plan for a tax credit scheme that would compensate employers for hiring new workers.

It’s a plan Horwath figures would create up to 170,000 new ”good-paying” jobs.

While in Ottawa, Premier Kathleen Wynne said the prime minister is wrong to express opposition to the proposed Ontario Pension Plan.

The PM says it’s entirely your responsibility to save for retirement.

Wynne points out, ”the difference between me and Stephen Harper is that he believes people are wilfully not taking responsibility.  I believe that people don’t have the capacity at this point”.
