L.A. Clippers owner Donald Sterling appears to have made his situation even worse by making new controversial comments about basketball legend Magic Johnson in an interview which aired on CNN last night.  80 year old Sterling apologized for racist remarks that earned him a lifetime ban from the NBA, but then he repeatedly disparaged Magic Johnson’s HIV status and said he isn’t a proper role model for children.

“If I said anything wrong, I’m sorry,” Sterling explained to CNN’s Anderson Cooper, “He’s a good person…what am I going to say?  Has he done everything he could do to help minorities?  I don’t think so.”

NBA Commissioner Adam Silver has issued a fresh rebuke to Sterling.
In a statement, Silver calls Sterling’s comments “malicious” and offers Johnson an apology from the NBA.
