Premier Kathleen Wynne visited the Walkerton Clean Water Centre – built after the tainted water tragedy of 14 years ago that left seven dead, thousands ill.

She used the backdrop to remind voters of consequences that come with cuts.

Wynne stopped short of saying PC Leader Tim Hudak’s planned public sector job cuts would result in another tragedy.

Speaking in London, Hudak said the premier’s just using the tragedy to score political points.

While the Tory leader maintains he would not cut water inspectors, he has yet to detail just which position would be eliminated if he’s elected June 12th.

At a Toronto announcement, NDP Leader Andrea Horwath promised to cut the tax rate for small businesses from 4.5 percent to three by 2016 to cushion the blow of a higher minimum wage.

New Democrats pledge to raise it by one dollar to 12-an-hour.
