TRILLIUM SHORTLISTED WRITERS NAMED

A total of six English and five French-language books have made the shortlist for the Trillium Award – the annual provincial prize honouring Ontario-based writers.

Craig Davidson is among the finalists for his novel “Cataract City.” He joins Barry Dempster for “The Outside World” and Lorna Goodison for “Supplying Salt and Light.” 

Helen Humphreys is shortlisted for “Nocturne” and Hannah Moscovitch for “This Is War,” with Peter Unwin rounding-out the English list for “Life Without Death and Other Stories.” 

Award winners for both English and French works receive $20,000.

Scotiabank Giller Prize-winning author Austin Clarke is up for the English-languge poetry award for “Where the Sun Shines Best,” alongside Adam Dickinson for “The Polymers”  and Souvankham Thammavongsa for “Light.”
