If the Liberals are re-elected, they promise access to 24/7 primary health care by 2018.

Speaking at Burlington’s Joseph Brant hospital, the premier announced a guarantee that everybody will be able to reach a family doctor or nurse practitioner – at any time.

Kathleen Wynne says right now, nine in 10 Ontarians have access.

She again defended the reported bailout of the MaRS research centre in downtown Toronto, insisting talks are continuing and that there is no deal.

But in Toronto, PC Leader Tim Hudak warned this could cost taxpayers even more than the gas plants scandal.

He also defended his jobs plan in a speech to the Canadian Club in Toronto.

Meanwhile, the New Democrats’ Andrea Horwath said she’d add $15-million a year to school nutrition programs that currently get nearly $21-million from the province.
