PC Leader Tim Hudak says he’s worried that the Ontario Provincial Police Association met with the Liberals during the election campaign.

He wonders what the premier may have promised in return for the group’s ads that attack the Tories.

The president of the OPPA says the ads are not an endorsement of either the Liberals or New Democrats.

Premier Kathleen Wynne says she hasn’t heard of any such endorsements either.

Although Toronto deputy mayor Norm Kelly has now come out and publicly endorsed her.

NDP’s Andrea Horwath says there’s nothing inappropriate about the ads, pointing out it’s legitimate for groups and individuals to engage in political debate.

Hudak says when he met with the police association it wanted him to exempt them from his proposed public sector wage freeze and he said no.
