Sotheby’s is featuring a dead rat at the heart of a new exhibition.

The ex-rodent is stuffed and sports a backpack – and a spray can.

He’s the creation and alter ego, of Banksy – the anonymous street artist turned art-world superstar.

Sotheby’s is mounting the extensive display of: kissing policemen, placard-wearing chimpanzees and other images spanning much of Banksy’s career. Some of the works originally sold for under $100 but prices now range up to $1 million.

Banksy’s former agent, Steve Lazarides put the show together. He says it’s completely paradoxical to see the works in a fancy gallery,” but that’s part of the fun.”
