For the first time in over 20 years, voter turnout was UP in Ontario.

Unofficial results indicate 52.1 % of eligible voters cast ballots.

That’s up from the historic low in the last election in 20-11 when 48.2 %went to the polls.

Meanwhile, Kathleen Wynne’s enjoying her majority election win, but the premier-elect cannot wait to return to work.

After meeting with the Lieutenant Governor, she announced the legislature will be recalled July 2nd, beginning with the Speech from the Throne.

Wynne promises to do everything she can to earn and keep your trust.

The premier-elect also promises to bring back the budget that set the election wheels in motion.

That of course includes the proposed made in Ontario retirement pension plan for those who aren’t already covered by one.

Tory insiders say they didn’t see the Liberal majority coming, but there’s debate within the party as to whether or not Tim Hudak should have gone negative and attacked Wynne over the gas plants scandal.

One of the possible contenders, to replace Hudak as PC leader, says it’s too soon to talk about leadership bids.

Vic Fedeli is not ruling it out, but does not expect any would-be leaders to launch a campaign any time soon, especially while the PCs are still trying out figure out what happened.
