Gordon Lightfoot was among those honoured at the SOCAN Awards in Toronto Monday night. The Society of Society of Composers, Authors and Music Publishers of Canada gave the 75-year-old living legend its lifetime achievement award at an industry gathering at the Westin Harbour Castle. The winners received SOCAN’s new trophy, a Sabian-designed bronze prize, that doubles as a real musical instrument.
