FESTIVE CITY EVENTS CLOSE SOME TORONTO ROADS THIS WEEKEND

A traffic alert for those trying to get around the city : some roads will be closed for special events in Toronto this weekend.

“The Village Welcomes the World” will see Church Street from Wood to Gloucester Street closed from Friday at 6 p.m. to Monday, June 23rd at 2 a.m.

And on Yonge street the “North by Northeast Music Festival” closes
Yonge from Dundas down to Queen – Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 7 to midnight.

On Saturday, there’s the “Port Union Village Waterfront Festival.”
Port Union Road – south of Lawrence,  from Shoalhaven Drive to Bridgend Street will be closed in both directions on Saturday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

And the “Journey to Conquer Cancer” event sees a series of closures on Sunday from 8 a.m. to noon – in the area bounded by McCaul (to the west,)  Bloor (to the north,) Bay Street (to the east,)  and Gerrard (to the south.)
