HIT-MEISTER GERRY GOFFIN DIES AT 75

He wrote some of the most memorable pop lyrics of all time.

Lyricist Gerry Goffin has died at the age of 75 in Los Angeles.

With his then-wife Carole King, Goffin penned huge hits that were all over the a.m. radio airwaves in the 1960’s.

They crafted more than 50 hit records including :”Up On The Roof”.. “Will You Love Me Tomorrow” ..”The Loco-motion”.. and “Natural Woman.”

The pair married in 1959 while they were in their teens – and they divorced in 1968.

Their love affair is the subject of the Tony Award-nominated Broadway musical “Beautiful: The Carole King Musical.”
