ANGUS STATE OF EMERGENCY LIFTED

A state of emergency, declared following the tornado in Angus last week, has been lifted. But Emergency Management Ontario continues to work with the community. Monday officials updated the situation, suggesting it might be up to a year before some residents can move back into their damaged homes. Essa Township Mayor Terry Dowdall says it’s too early to say exactly how many homes will have to be demolished. He says he’s heard estimates of between 10 and 20.
