POLLEY'S PROJECT: ADAPTING "LOOKING FOR ALASKA"

Oscar nominee Sarah Polley has a new project in the works.

The Canadian actor and director is adapting John Green’s novel “Looking For Alaska” for the big screen.

Green is currently enjoying success at the box ofice with the adaptation of his novel “The Fault Is In Our Stars.”

“Looking For Alaska” was published in 2005.  Paramount picked up the film rights shortly after that.

Polley’s an expert at making book-to-film adaptations – and made her directorial debut with “Away From Her” in 2006 – based on an Alice Munro short story.

Polley was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Adapted Screenplay for the film.
