Hundreds of authors have signed an online letter criticizing Amazon.com for restricting access to works published by Hachette Book Group.

Stephen King is in the group, as is Nora Roberts and Robert Caro.

They’ve added their names to the letter which urges Amazon to resolve its standoff with Hachette over prices for e-books and a number of other issues.

Readers are being asked to email Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos and “tell him what you think.”

Amazon has slowed-down delivery on books by Hachette authors and has also removed pre-order tags for upcoming releases.

Other authors endorsing the letter include James Patterson and Scott Turow.

Some on the list of petitioners are Hachette writers, but many of them are published by rival companies.
