FIFA is claiming two Twitter records for Germany’s stunning 7-1 win over Brazil in the World Cup semifinals.
35.6 million posts were recorded.
That makes the game the most tweeted sports event- ever.
FIFA also claims a record for most tweets about a subject or incident in a single minute.
There were 580,000 tweets when Germany jumped out to a 5-nil lead.
Argentina and the Netherlands are on the pitch in Brazil.
The winner of today’s semifinal will take on Germany for the championship on Sunday – while The loser will play Brazil in the third-place game.
