Andrew Lloyd Webber’s company is suing theatrical producer Michael Cohl for cancelling the North American tour of a new version of “Jesus Christ Superstar”. In a statement, The Really Useful Group, which is Lloyd Webber’s company, said it had no option but to proceed with legal action to recover costs associated with the project and in turn, satisfy outstanding payments to suppliers and contractors. Cohl’s company, S2BN Entertainment, had no immediate comment on the lawsuit.
Cohl is a Canadian concert promoter, theatrical producer and touring impresario. He is also the former chairman of Live Nation, the largest live entertainment company in the world.
