Washington ”strongly condemns” the unilateral movement of a Russian truck convoy into Ukraine.
Pentagon spokesman, Rear Adm. John Kirby, is calling on the Russian to immediately remove the trucks.
He points out Russia’s defence minister had recently ”guaranteed” U.S. Defence Secretary Cuck Hagel that Moscow would not invade.
Ukraine is calling the move a ”direct invasion.”
Russian trucks carrying food, water, generators and sleeping bags crossed into the rebel-held eastern regions this morning without the permission of the government in Kiev.
German Chancellor Angela Merkel, who’s heading to the Ukrainian capital tomorrow, has called President Vladimir Putin to express her ”deep concern,” but at the same time says everything should be done to ensure help reaches those in need.
