The opposition at Queen’s Park is demanding Premier Wynne recall the legislature early in the new year and resume hearings into the destruction of documents on the gas plants cancellation scandal. The move follows the release of court documents showing the Liberal’s paid a computer expert ten thousand dollars to wipe hard drives in the premier’s office. Conservative Michael Harris says Wynne shut down hearings into the gas plants in October after the opposition asked that computer tech Peter Faist testify about his efforts to scrub the government computers of data. The cancellation of the gas plants cost over $1 billion.
