Bill Cosby’s one-time television wife is coming to his defense.
Phylicia Rashad starred on the long-running Cosby Show from 1984 through 1992.
She says the multiple allegations of sexual assault against the 77-year-old are the “destruction of a legacy” which she suspects are orchestrated.
Cosby is doing three shows in Ontario this week, and he is promising fans “the show of their life.”
He’s also urging anyone who attends not to get involved if protesters disrupt any of his performances.
Cosby will perform in Kitchener tonight, London tomorrow, and Hamilton on Friday.
Protests are being organized outside the shows in each city. Organizers are also preparing for possible disruptions inside the theatres.
