SCHOOL BUSES CANCELLED NORTH AND WEST OF TORONTO

Southern Ontario is in the grips of an extreme cold warning today. Temperatures will fall to minus-17, with windchills of minus-30.

Because of that, several school district to the north and west of Toronto have cancelled their bus transportation.

There will be no school bus service in the following locations:

Chepstow
Dawnview
Dufferin County
Dundalk
Durham
Flesherton
Formosa
Hanover Heights
Hepworth
Holland-Chatsworth
Hostein
Kincadine [including in-town routes]
Lion’s Head
Markdale
Maxwell
Meaford
Mildmay
Nipissing
Owen Sound
Parry Sound
Port Elgin
Sauble Beach
Simcoe County South – including Alliston, Beeton, Bradford, Cookstown, and Tottenham
Simcoe County West – including Collingwood, Stayner, and Wasaga Beach
South Perth
Southampton
Thornbury
Tobermory
Walkerton
Wiarton

In addition, three public schools in the Orangeville area have been closed for the day because of the cold: East Garafraxa, Laurelwoods, and Primrose.
