A committment to Toronto transit riders from the T.T.C. – which says it will complete 38 new customer initiatives for 2015.

The plan includes a promise to accept debit and credit card payments for single rides – at all collector booths – by the summer.

The initiatives focus on modernizing the T.T.C. – as part of the service’s third Customer Charter released today.

Other items on the list include implementing all-door boarding on every streetcar route – and enabling WiFi on the “U” portion of Line 1 from St. George to Bloor-Yonge stations- by spring.

T.T.C. Chair, Councillor Josh Colle says he believes the Charter holds the transit commission and employees “to task.”

He adds, “I know that the media will be here next year with a list  in hand, telling us which ones we did meet or did not meet.”

T.T.C. officials admit that seven of the 39 initiatives on last  year’s Charter list – weren’t completed.
