The government of Jordan appears to be negotiating with Islamic State terrorists.

Jordan’s information minister says his government is ready to trade a convicted terrorist for a Jordanian pilot captured in December by the Islamic State terror group, as long as the pilot is released unharmed.  He made no mention of Japanese journalist Kenji Goto.

ISIL terrorists are threatening to kill the pilot and Goto later today if Jordan doesn’t free a woman sentenced to death for her involvement in a deadly 2005 terrorist attack on a hotel in the kingdom.

Japan’s  Deputy Foreign Minister is in Jordan for diplomatic talks, and is hopeful.  He says Japan will never give up until Goto is returned safely.

The mother of the Japanese journalist read her plea to reporters today, saying her son has only a little time left.

Former RCMP Commissioner and security expert Norman Inkster joins The New AM 740’s Goldhawk Fights Back to talk about these latest developments after the 11am news.
