The process to recommend how the Toronto District School Board is governed is under way.  This is in response to Education Consultant Margaret Wilson’s report outlining governance concerns at Canada’s largest school board.

   

The panel studying the situation is chaired by former Toronto Mayor Barbara Hall.  It kicked off the first of 19 meeting Monday night that will determine the TSBS’s future. In addition to the meetings, community members can share their ideas online until 5 p.m. May 30, 2015.  Improving the governance of the TDSB is part of the provincial government’s economic plan for Ontario.
